HVAC TIPS (Heating, Ventilation & Air conditioning)

Consult a Nissan Expert

Consult a Nissan Expert

Get your car AC inspected by a Nissan expert. Our experts ensure a thorough check of your AC system by managing the health of the AC filter, ensuring the correct amount of refrigerant, and checking all other related components.

Park the vehicle in the shade

Park the vehicle in the shade

Try parking in the shade (not under direct sunlight) as much as possible. This way, it will be easy for your car’s AC to cool the cabin efficiently and quickly.

Ventilate before starting the AC

Ventilate before starting the AC

It’s a good idea to ventilate the cabin before turning your AC on. Open all the windows and doors and let the car run on idle with the AC OFF, fresh air mode and set the blower to max speed for some time. This lets the hot air out and make things easier for you when you start driving. Ensure you change to Recirculation mode and close the windows completely.

Use your car’s AC every day

Use your car’s AC every day

Make sure you switch on your car’s AC for about 10 15 minutes every day. This ensures your AC vents function well and for a long time.

Switch OFF the AC

Switch OFF the AC

Turn the AC off before you switch off the ignition, to ensure the evaporator is dried out along with its surroundings. This also helps in avoiding foul smells when you restart the AC.

MONSOON TIPS

TYRE CHECK

TYRE CHECK

Always keep the tyres inflated to recommended levels, maintain correct wheel alignment periodically and replace tyres if tread is worn-out.

WIPER CHECK

WIPER CHECK

Check your wiper blades to see if they leave behind any smudges or lines of water on the windscreen. If they leave either, it is time to have them changed, as during the monsoons you will be required to use them almost every day. It is also important to keep the wiper-washer fluids topped up. Avoid using the wipers to clean heavy dust on the windshield.

INTERIOR CHECK

INTERIOR CHECK

Before the drive, check the floor mats for wet conditions. Ensure you use only Nissan Genuine floor mats which are specifically designed for your car and safety. Contact authorized dealer in case water gets into the cabin area, as it will require special skills and tools to avoid further damage to interior parts.

ELECTRICAL CHECK

ELECTRICAL CHECK

Begin with running all lights together – the headlights (in both, low and high beams), brake lights and hazards/indicators. If you notice your lights get dimmer or are flickering, please get this checked by an authorized dealer. It is also advisable to make sure your battery is in a healthy state, and have it replaced if required, as monsoons generally require heavier use of electrical components such as lights, wipers, etc.

BETTER VISIBILITY
